Wooden Mannequin / Milliners head by R. Hovenden of London c 1920. Mounted on a bronze and cast Iron Stand with baize table protection.
R. Hovenden & Sons Limited was a wholesaler and exporter of pharmaceutical and hairdressing products, including human hair wigs, founded in 1892. Robert Hovenden died in 1908, however the business continued until the 1940's.
