Four Wayang Golek Indonesian Rod Puppets
Wayang golek ( “rod puppets”) is a form of puppet theatre prevalent in Java, Indonesia. It dates back to the early 16th century and combines Hindu Buddhist and Muslim ideas with Javanese folklore. Often illustrating conflicts culminating in the triumph of good against evil. The four hand carved and painted puppets each have a wooden stand enabling them to be displayed on a shelf.
Size: Tallest puppet is 40cm
Condition: Generally in good condition, however these are of a good vintage so there are small nibbles, and the clothes are worn and thin.

All items purchased online without prior inspection can be returned within 30 days if you change your mind. Shipping will be the responsibility of the customer.
Any loss or damage during shipping must be reported within 48 hours of delivery, and reports of damage must be accompanied by photographic evidence of both the item and the packaging.
